Description SHIFT: No Weekends SCHEDULE: Full-time Located in central Austin, St. David's Medical Center includes a 350-bed acute care hospital and a 64- bed rehabilitation hospital providing comprehensive inpatient and outpatient care. POSITION SUMMARY According to unit and hospital policies and procedures, the Cardiology Registered Nurse is responsible for the care of the patient before, during, and after their procedure. The Registered Nurse assesses, plans, implements, evaluates, and documents nursing care for multiple patients on the unit. The RN provides leadership and direct supervision of patient care which is provided by Licensed Vocational Nurses and Patient Care Technicians. The Day Recovery Registered Nurse provides superior guest relation skills while maintaining a clean, efficient, and safe work environment. Qualifications EDUCATION Required: Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing with current Registered Nurse licensure in the State of Texas. Preferred: Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree EXPERIENCE Required: One-year experience as a staff RN in an acute care setting. Preferred: One-year experience as a staff RN on a critical care, emergency room, or telemetry unit.
